Who We Are

I'll Be Darned! is a London based business offering vintage clothing alterations and repairs.

It is run by Rosie Alia, who began the venture after spotting a gap in the market for a service which takes great care in restoring vintage clothing.

Rosie is a 1940's enthusiast who migrated from her hometown of Norwich to embark on a degree in fashion design. After graduating in 2010, she has since worked as a Visual Merchandiser and worked for a lovely little company designing a vintage-inspired womenswear collection which is due to launch later this year!

She now runs I'll Be Darned! from her home in North London, where she spends her time nursing her customer's favourite items back to health, aided by her trusty sewing machine and a pot of tea.

What We Do

Need the hem of your 50's skirt taken up?
Want to replace lost buttons on your smartest 40's shirt? Got a wide tie that needs thinning to make it just tickety boo?....Need someone to save your very favourite vintage piece from being retired to the back of the wardrobe? Get in touch and we'll do our very best to return your prized possessions to their former glory!

We also have a growing collection of vintage and non-vintage buttons, so if you are in the awful position of having lost a button from your best blazer or blouse (we've all been there) and are in need of a replacement then you never know, we might just have that perfect set.

Of course, we can also alter and repair non-vintage garments too, so please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Don't worry if you live further afield, as we have been known to recieve garments by post too!

Other Work

As well as taking on alterations and repair work, I also take on custom sewing work too- see the Gallery on our Facebook Page for examples of previous work.
